Sunderland Pianoforte Society was founded in 1943.
For many years we were unique in being the only society to cater for purely classical piano music.
We have regular recitals given by professional concert pianists in the Pottery Room of the Museum and Winter Gardens, Sunderland from September to April (excluding January)
We own a beautifully carved Steinway Concert Grand on which the pianists perform
